Most common mat board sizes

The most common frames will also be compatible with standard mat board. Like frames, mats also have standard sizes.

Mat openings sizes are cut so they are compatible with common print sizes. Standard mat openings are usually cut about 1/2 inch smaller than the print to “crop” the edge of the image for a cleaner look.
